1. When searching a search engine like Google, you can use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) just like you can in a library database or library catalog. Enter your search terms connected with Boolean operators and grouped together with parentheses. 

(toddler OR preschool OR infant) AND activities AND education

2. You can also choose to search specific websites or types of websites by adding site: and either a web address or an ending to a web address.  For example: 

site:.edu searches educational websites that have .edu in the ending

site:.gov searches websites that have .gov in them (government websites)

site:naeyc.org searches the NAEYC's website

site:uoregon.edu searches only the University of Oregon's website

I added site:.edu to my search string so that I will search only websites from educational institutions.
