You may have noticed some UCC employees working diligently over the past few weeks to pack up the Library Collection and the rest of the Library space in order for the remodel to happen. You may also have noticed (or heard, it was quite a loud BOOM) the four large cargo containers in the library parking lot. Or, perhaps you noticed the emergency exits of the Learning Commons and the Library being left WIDE open for hours on end - nope, it's not an emergency -the time to close the library, remove the interior, replace the roof, re-paint, snazz it up, and add new materials is upon us!
In just two short days the library has gone from being overrun with boxes of books to echoing like the Grand Canyon! Below you will find a few shots of the removal, and perhaps catch a glance of the ever-elusive Christine Case!
While we're closed up if you need to return library items you can do so during the day Monday-Thursday at the Welcome Desk in the Student Center, or in Wayne Crooch Hall rooms 11/17. Be sure to write your first name, last name, and 800 # on a post-it and put it on the items!
We are also still available via the library text (541) 835-8146, chat, and email (library@umpqua.edu). You can also check out our FAQs page for other information you may want to know!
